I created a game with Blitzmax on Ubuntu 14.04 and I need to run this game in an other machime with the same verson of Ubuntu, but without GNOME(because I don't need and I don't want windows).

So, I prepared an other machine with the same version of Ubuntu, but I disabled GNOME. When I run the game, the system shows a BadAtom error message as follow:

X Error of failed request: BadAtom (invalid Atom parameter)
Major opcode of failed request: 18 (X_ChangeProperty)
Atom id in failed request: 0x0
Serial number of failed request: 50
Current serial number in output stream: 50

What version of Max you using?

Try a different version of Max.

Something else you could try.

Munch, I'm using version 1.43.

More informations after some new tests:

If I run my application only(my executable, without BlitzMax), the BadAtom error occurs.
If I run gedit or any other application that open a window (calculator, nautilus, etc) before and run my application, it runs perfectly.
