Forget this - I just cut and paste the docs code to test maps without noticing that it's set up to wash out the bsp's with a high alpha setting (why?!). Spotted my oversight and everything's fine and dandy - phew! Now don't do it again ;)

EDIT: No, hang on - one of the problems still persists. I keep getting seams appearing in the lightmap, along the edges of polygons, at a distance:

On its own it's fairly minor but, what they hey, it makes me look like less of a bumpkin.
