I posted about this over 2 years ago, and the thread has been mysteriously banished to the bug bin. I say "mysteriously" because the stated criteria for the bug bin are that the bug is either fixed, due to be fixed or not considered a bug. I've bumped the thread a few times in the bug bin for a response on what the situation is and no reply.

This is an active bug. Anti Aliasing has not worked for years and continues not to work on a wide variety of machines. On some machines, you can force it on in drivers and it won't be on. On some machines you can force it off in drivers and it won't be off. And on some machines it might even actually work. It's completely random.

I don't think we'll ever see this bug fixed. :( You'd think it would be fairly trivial, but apparently not. It's a great shame, as it is still one of my most wanted additions.
